Not being a player myself I can only commend these courses as I think they are in beautiful situations. I must add that it is only a small selection of the many golf course courses in and around Argyll and the western Highlands of Scotland.

This is as golf was born and in the cradle of the whole 'Game'. Where, I believe, shepherds started to knock things about with their crooks.

If you look around this part of the country you will see many of the best features of the golf courses appearing naturally.

Every golf course that is mentioned here is situated in the midst of stunning scenery and worth spending a whole day on, or if you are fit and keen, try to do more than one in a day, but make sure you have a good bed for the night first.

For the genuine golfer, or someone that just "enjoys" the game, this could probably be the holiday of a lifetime, playing on courses that are perhaps nearer to the original article than you will see anywhere else in the world.
